Willie 'The Assassin' Nasio

Former Australian Heavyweight Champion

 

Willie Nasio's parents are both from Tonga but migrated over to New Zealand to find a better life for their children. Nasio was born and raised in New Zealand with 5 younger brothers making him the oldest out of the 6 boys.

 

Nasio  was also born in to a religious family and prides himself on his good principles, instilled from a young age.

 

Nasio says "Growing up in South Auckland it wasn’t that hard to find fights as a teenager."

 

Nasio attended Wesley College & James Cook High and also enjoyed a year of high school in America.  At 19 he served a two year volunteer mission for the LDS church and that included serving the community and teaching Christian principles.

 

Nasio is married and lives on the Gold Coast. He has 3 boys who keep him fighting fit. He currently works as a support worker in a mental health facility.

 

He first stepped into a boxing gym in 2011.
